Acrylic Foam Tape
This special construction imparts unique viscoelastic properties to the tape. The foam core effectively dissipates stress within the bonded materials through its mechanical relaxation characteristics, preventing stress concentration and thereby achieving superior bonding performance. Furthermore, the closed-cell structure of the foam provides excellent resistance to air and water ingress.
Our Acrylic Foam Tape Advantages

Robust Adhesion
Strength
- High bond strength, resistant to static and dynamic stress.
- Provides durable adhesion, distributing stress across the entire bond line.
- Possesses elasticity, capable of absorbing shock and vibration.
- Exhibits flexibility, resisting wind, vibration, and other stresses.
- Bonded surfaces will not exhibit signs of damage, dents, or weld deformation.
Rapid Application
High Efficiency
- Improves efficiency, saving cost and time.
- Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) – requires no curing time.
- Saves labor and processing time (e.g., drilling, riveting, welding, cleaning).
- Can be precisely die-cut according to any shape or size.
- Simple training required, easy to use.
All-Weather Performance
Durability
- Resistant to high and low temperatures, temperature cycling, UV radiation, humidity, and solvents.
- Provides isolation from the external environment (waterproof, moisture-resistant).
- Prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.
- Dampens vibration, reducing metal fatigue.
- Compensates for thermal expansion and contraction.
Invisible Bonding
Aesthetics
- Invisible tape helps maintain smooth and clean surfaces, improving design aesthetics.
- Bonds to most painted and powder-coated surfaces, as well as plastics like PMMA, PC, and ABS.
- Adheres to metal and most plastics with only simple surface cleaning required.
- Using lighter and thinner materials can create a high visual impact.
- Can bond dissimilar materials.

Application Guide Achieving Optimal Adhesion

Step 1: Surface Preparation & Cleaning
- Clean the Surface: Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe away dust, dirt, and contaminants from the bonding surfaces.
- Solvent Cleaning: For surfaces contaminated with polishing wax, oils, or grease, use a suitable cleaning solvent such as IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) or ethanol.
- Priming (for difficult surfaces): For rubber or low surface energy (LSE) materials, apply a primer to the surface before bonding.
❗❗❗ Important Note: Contaminated surfaces are a primary cause of bonding failure. Thorough surface cleaning is essential.

Step 2: Component Placement & Application
- Test Fit: Position the component to ensure correct alignment before applying the tape.
- Apply & Press: Carefully peel off the release liner and apply the component. Avoid touching the adhesive surface.
- Re-application: If the bonding surface is clean, the component can be repositioned once (Note: Not recommended for surfaces treated with primer).
- Accurate Positioning: Ensure the component is placed in the correct position; misalignment can lead to bond failure.
❗❗❗ Temperature Consideration: If the ambient temperature is below 15°C (59°F), it is recommended to heat the component and bonding surface using a heat gun. The optimal range for application is 25-35°C (77-95°F).

Step 3: Applying Pressure
- Ensure Full Contact: Apply firm and even pressure to the bonded area to ensure complete contact between the adhesive and the substrate.
- Sufficient Force: Apply a pressure of approximately 2 Kgf/cm² or 6.5 kgf. Inadequate pressure is a major cause of bond failure.
- Curing Time: For optimal results, allow the bond to cure for at least 24 hours before subjecting it to stress, testing, or use.
❗❗❗ Key Factors for Adhesion: Pressure, time, and temperature significantly impact bond strength. Increasing pressure, maintaining appropriate temperature, and extending application time can enhance wettability and ultimately increase bond strength.
